Michael Campbell, D.O.
Dr. Campbell received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. While matriculating at Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Campbell played for the men's soccer team and helped lead them to the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship. In addition to his accomplishments on the athletic field, he was a three-time Academic All-American, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000.
Upon graduation, Dr. Campbell attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He graduated in 2004 and ranked number one in his class. He continued his training with a one-year rotating internship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, and then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June of 2009.
He went on to sub-specialize in a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute, in Birmingham, Alabama. During his time in Alabama, Dr. Campbell served as team physician for Hewitt-Trussville High School and Miles College. In addition, he was a contributing editor to the
National Center for Sports Safety's PREPARE Course, an online sports safety course aimed at educating coaches and volunteers on how to prevent common injuries, how to recognize symptoms of potentially dangerous conditions, and how to respond in emergency situations.
Dr. Campbell's passion is the treatment of athletic-related injuries in patients of all age groups. He specializes in arthroscopic reconstructive procedures of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. He also treats a wide variety of fractures and other common orthopaedic ailments.
Dr. Campbell's professional affiliations include the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, among others.
Dr. Campbell and his wife, Jennifer, have twin daughters. In his spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys exercising, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
